i write mostly poems and stories, both in English and Quechua.
i incorporate elements of my culture into what i write with the intention to transmit those concepts
past the language barrier and the gaps in diasporic memory.
as an archaeology major, i also find time to be a very fascinating thing.
the way everything is always changing, and yet, remaining the same.

• Pocket Dimension

  scrying for a better tomorrow: a qariwarmi's labor of love.

  A cautionary tale set in the era of a reigning god-king in a land known as Rimaq. In the recent past, Rimaq was torn in two. Many centuries ago, the mountainous region was in political turmoil, with its government failing to support its people amidst a seemingly endless winter. In later years, their capital was seized by militaristic types hailing from the highlands. Their former leaders deposed of in favor of the god-king. This new ruling party enforced the adoption of their language. With their new god-king came a new religion: Solarism. Those in the South chose to ally with this new development and those in the North declared their distaste for the conquerors. Favored in myth by the immortal one, the South thrived and became known as Qurin Suyu, the realm of gold. The North, once a trusted and equal half of Rimaq, fell into infamy and became known as Tutan Suyu, the realm of shadow.
